Are you nervous about the direction the country and world is heading? I am. With real unemployment nearing 20%, the government is spending an inconceivable amount of borrowed money and showing no appetite for real reform. The Fed is printing an equally inconceivable amount of money to finance this debt. I am witnessing an essentially bankrupt government acting irrationally and flailing for a non-existent painless solution.
You don’t have to be a genius to see how much of a Ponzi scheme this is, and that when the credit-worthiness of the U.S. is so diminished that debt auctions fail, the bill will come due. The U.S., at that point, may default on its astronomical debt. Inflation, fueled by the massive supply of money in the system, will be driven beyond 10%, and you and I will suffer the consequences. What can we do?
I am not typically an alarmist – in fact I keep my glass half full and am an eternal optimist. Our experiences in life should only be marginally affected by our governmental structures. We determine our own heaven or hell on earth based upon our beliefs, attitudes and actions.
However, I believe that collective human consciousness in the information age has evolved beyond the limiting rigid industrial age governmental structures that served us so well in the 20th century. From an integral point of view, the governmental structures of our society are fraying and morphing as our culture pulls the systems and structures into the 21st century. The financial mess is simply a symptom of the old structures decaying and breaking down. How this plays out is anyone’s guess, but no doubt it will get messy!
I believe that we had all better strap on our seatbelts and prepare to lead our families and communities through what could be some rapid change in the next few years. We MUST become self-reliant at a family and community level (think local food production and distribution, integral commons, coops and the like) and get back to a service orientation toward public office as opposed to self-aggrandizing, rock-star politics powered by special interest money. Whatever model emerges, by necessity, it will be post-liberal and post-conservative. These two world views have evolved to be mutually incompatible. One is not better or worse than the other, they just have trouble co-existing.
What does all this have to do with SEALFIT? I am committed to teaching you to navigate the challenging times with ease. Forging mental toughness, self-reliance, confidence and powerful approaches to thinking and acting based upon the lessons of the Navy SEALs and new mental models is how I can help. In troubled times, people turn to the warriors for leadership and safety. You must be ready. Destiny favors the prepared, in mind, body and spirit.
I can help…but…
As the economy tailspins and inflation erodes purchasing power, I realize that you are getting squeezed. The idea of attending a SEALFIT Academy or Camp in person is moving out of financial reach. Therefore, I have created my own economic stimulus plan and I promise not to print money to fund it!
I am putting finishing touches on a product that will allow you to receive the same training and coaching I provide to my Academy students, but in the comfort of your home and at a fraction of the cost. SEALFIT Academy students train and practice in person for up to three weeks day in and day out, investing serious time and money to develop these skills. Now you will be able to access this content digitally get support from mm by leveraging technology.
The “packaging” of my philosophy and educational content has been and will continue to be a big undertaking. I am stoked about the upcoming launch of the first version of the project – the Unbeatable Mind training program. Look for information on this new program in the coming days.
I believe that you must be that person who steps up and takes charge as things get stranger in the coming years.
Lead from the front! Be tough, resilient and adaptive. Be ready for challenges coming your way. I hope that I can help you prepare in mind, body and spirit.
Train hard, stay safe and have fun! Mark Divine, founder, SEALFIT
